Almost 2020.

We all hope that everyone had a good Christmas and would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year.

It is a fairly quiet period at the Village Hall, which comes as some what of a relief. We have recently undertaken quite a major refurbishment of the Snooker rooms, creating a self contained club and an additional meeting room. The work has not been without its hiccups but I think we are on the home straight.

We shall be celebrating the new look club with an Open day Coffee morning on Saturday 25th January. The whole premises will be available to look around and representatives of various user groups, clubs and class leaders will be in attendance to give more information on their respective group. Tickets will also be available for the 2020 Pantomime, Dick Whittington and his cat.

Please spare a moment when you visit the event to think about Keith, our Book Fair organiser who sadly died suddenly a few weeks ago. Keith had spent an interesting life, spending some of the time in the Motor Industry which probably nurtured his love for all books related to transport. Keith was an extremely valued member of Gargrave Village Hall Committee and his input was both respected and appreciated. His fellow Book Fair friends along with Village Hall Committee members and volunteers have rallied round and offered help with the Book Fairs which will continue , and we hope will act as a lasting tribute to Keith .
