Bank Holiday weekend events……….

Members of Gargrave Village Hall Committee will be holding a Coffee morning on Saturday (26th May ) commencing at 9.a.m until Noon. Call in for a  Bacon Buttie, Hot buttered teacakes or feast on homemade cakes, A fun raffle and book stall will also aid funds.

Broadway Fairs will be holding a Flea Market, Collectables, Crafts and All sorts Fair on Sunday from 10.a.m. Lots of stalls with interesting and affordable items. Outdoor plant stall. Light refreshments available until 3.p.m.

The weekend ahead…….

Picnic supper dance on Friday evening with live music for ballroom and sequence dancing from Cumbrian Musician Denis Westmoreland. Commences 7.30.p.m until 11.p.m. £5.00 admission on the door. Please bring along your own picnic supper.

Who can resist the smell of bacon cooking?????? Come along to the Village Hall on Saturday mornings April 28th, May 5th, 12th and 26th and enjoy a bacon buttie. Hot buttered teacakes and homemade cakes are also on the menu. A Book stall and fun raffle will also aid Village Hall funds.

Broadway Fairs will be holding a Collectable and Craft Market on Sunday 29th April from 10.a.m until 3.30.p.m. Lots of stalls selling affordable and varied items. Only 50p admission charge. Light refreshments available until 3.p.m.

Weekend of Flowers

The North West Fuchsia Societies will be holding their Fuchsia Fayre at the Village Hall on Saturday and Sunday ( April 21st and 22nd ) from 10.30.a.m to 4.p.m.

Experts will be demonstrating how to grow standards, baskets, bonsais, triphyllas and hybridising.

General growing advice will be available, especially on how to take cuttings. There will also be a general plant sale, tombola and refreshments.

All this and free admission too!

 

News for the weekend……

The monthly Picnic supper dance will be held on Friday evening – the 13th!!!  Alan Cookson will be providing the live music for ballroom and sequence dancing. The event commences at 7.30.p.m. Admission is £5.00 on the door, please bring along your own picnic.

Saturday 7th April 10.a.m until Noon. Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee will be holding a Coffee morning and will be serving toasted teacakes and/or homemade cakes from 10.a.m until Noon. A fun raffle and book stall will also aid funds.

Easter Weekend…..

We have a busy weekend at the Hall over Easter with a two day Flea Market, Vintage, Collectables and Craft Fair. Some stallholders will be there over the two day period whilst some will be attending on just the Sunday and some on just the Monday so it is well worth a visit both days if you can. The markets are now also attracting Craft stalls and we are fortunate to have a Cumbrian Artist exhibiting and selling her watercolours. The stall made its debut at Gargrave last month and there was a fantastic display of paintings covering all subjects, some framed, some unframed.

Light refreshments will be available until 3.p.m. The Plant stall will be outside the hall on just the Sunday.

Admission only 50p.

There will be lots of stalls and something different to see each day as some stallholders will just be there on the one day ( some both ). Light refreshments available both days. The plant stall will just be there on the Sunday. Only 50p admission.

Whats On?

A weekend of Fairs coming up….

Hopefully Spring will have arrived for the forthcoming weekend ( March 10th/11th ) as both Saturday and Sunday will see plenty of activity at the Village Hall.

A Book Fair will be held on Saturday from 10.a.m  until  4.p.m. There will be thousands of Antiquarian and secondhand books for sale covering every subject. Light refreshments will be served until 3.p.m. 60p admission.

A Collectables, Vintage, Flea Market and Craft Fair will be held on Sunday from 10.a.m until 4.p.m. This is the first Fair of the New Year which is run by Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee, the organisers have enjoyed a Winter break but now return for their regular monthly events which are generally held in the middle of each month ( Broadway Fairs are held on the last Sunday of each month ). There will be regular stallholders in attendance as well as now ones who will be selling a great variety of interesting and affordable items. Not too late for a Mothers day gift!!!
