Broadway Fairs….

There will be a Flea Market and Craft Fair at the Village Hall on Sunday commencing at 10.a.m. The Hall will be full of stalls selling a great variety of items from Collectables, Vintage, Bric a Brac, Jigsaws, Books and Crafts. There will also be stalls raising proceeds for both Manorlands and the Cats Protection League. Light refreshments available until 3.p.m. 50p admission on the door. Two day Easter Collectable, Vintage and Craft Fair.

Don`t miss this weekends double bill.

We shall be hosting a two day Collectable, Vintage and Craft Fair at the Village Hall on Easter Sunday and Monday. Some stallholders will be attending on both days, whilst others will be there for the one so stock will be changing daily and its worth calling on both days. There are a great variety of stalls booked in with something for everyone; Vintage, Collectables, Bric a Brac, Small furniture, Pictures, Jewellery, Books, Jigsaws and Crafts. Light refreshments available until 3.p.m. Admission just 50p per day or by donation.

Dancing and Coffee!

A Picnic supper dance will be held on Friday evening ( 8th April ). Denis Westmorland will be providing the live music for dancing from        7. 30 p.m until 11.p.m. Please bring along your own Picnic supper, tea and coffee will be provided during the interval. A raffle will be held in aid of Village Hall funds. Admission is £5.00 on the door.

The Admission charge on the door will be increasing to £6.00 per person as from the next Picnic supper dance which will be held on Friday 13th May.

A Coffee morning will be held on Saturday organised jointly by Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee and Gargrave Library. Bacon sandwiches, toasted teacakes and lots of homemade cakes will be on the menu. The event commences at 10.a.m until Noon. A book stall will aid Village Hall funds and a raffle will be held in aid of Gargrave Library.

Don`t forget next weekends double bill of the  Easter Vintage, Collectable and Craft Fair which will be held on Easter Sunday and Monday.

A quiet weekend….

There are no events at the Hall this weekend but next weekend Friday 8th April there will be the monthly Picnic supper dance with live music provided by Denis Westmorland and on Saturday the 9th April there will be a Coffee morning jointly hosted by Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee and Gargrave Library.

Don`t forget the two day Vintage, Collectable and Craft Fair which will be held on Easter Sunday and Monday, 17th and 18th April.

 

Weekend commencing Friday 25th March….

Gargrave Cinema club in conjunction with Gargrave and Malhamdale Community Library will be showing the film ” King Richard” on Friday evening in the Village Hall. Doors open at 7.p.m and the film commences at 7.30.p.m. Starring Will Smith the production follows the story of Richard Williams the coach and father of the tennis players, Venus and Serena and his determination to write his two daughters into the history books. You don`t have to be a fan of the sport to enjoy this heart warming tale. The now customary cafe style seating will be in place so please bring along your own refreshments. £5.00 admission on the door.

Gargrave Village hall Committee jointly with Gargrave Library will be holding a Coffee morning on Saturday. Please come along and enjoy tasty bacon sandwiches , toasted teacakes and lots of homemade cakes. The event opens at 10.a.m until Noon. There will be a book and CD stall in aid of Hall funds and a raffle will be held in aid of Library funds. The Library Committee will also be announcing the winners in their monthly 100 club draw. Some members of Settle Voices Community choir will be singing one or two songs during the morning.

A Flea Market and Craft Fair will complete the busy weekend on Sunday. Sheila of Broadway Fairs will be hosting one of her monthly events. There will be stalls selling Crafts, Collectables, Bric a Brac, Books, Jigsaws, Vintage items and much more. Lots of bargains and unique pieces. Open 10.a.m until 3.30.p.m. Light refreshments available until 3.p.m. Only 50p admission.

A Quiet weekend…..

A rare weekend when we have no events at the Village Hall.

Next Saturday, 26th March we shall be holding a Coffee morning and on Sunday 27th March Broadway Fairs will be hosting a Flea Market and Craft Fair. Also don`t forget the film night on Friday 25th March – more details mid week.

Bon Accord will be visiting the Village Hall on Friday evening when they will be providing the live music for the monthly Picnic supper dance. Admission is £5.00 on the door. Dancing commences at 7.30.p.m until 11.p.m. Please bring along your own Picnic supper. Tea and coffee will be provided in the interval.

Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee will be holding their first Vintage, Flea Market, Collectables and Craft Fair of the year on Sunday . The event commences at 10.a.m but please pop in sooner if it is more convenient as most stalls are set up by 9.a.m. There will be a good variety of stalls selling collectables, vintage, bric a brac, books, jigsaws, crafts, watches and jewellery. First Book Fair of the year…….

Hundreds upon hundreds of Books will be for sale on Saturday in the Village Hall when Book sellers from all over the North West will be arriving to sell their huge assortment of Books. Every subject will be covered, there will be general paperback titles plus collectable and antiquarian editions. The Fair opens at 10.a.m and closes at 4.p.m. Admission is just 50p each or by donation. Light refreshments will be available until 3.p.m.

The Gargrave Village Hall Management Collectable, Vintage and Craft Fair also returns this month after its Winter break. The popular Fair returns on Sunday 13th March, opening at 10.a.m until 3.30.p.m. A great variety of stalls are already booked in for the event. Further details please contact 07989585564.

Sell out Performances…..

Tickets for the annual Pantomime have been selling at a fast rate. Saturday matinee tickets are all sold and only a few are available for the Friday night and Saturday night performances. Please do call 01756 749443 if you would like to know if any tickets are left just in case there are none available on the door.

Come along and grab a bargain on Sunday 27th February when Sheila Palmer will be hosting one of her Flea Market and Craft Fairs. The event opens at 10.a.m ( please pop in earlier if it is more convenient as most stalls are set up by 9.a.m ) and closes around 3.30.p.m. There will be lots of stalls selling collectables, crafts, jewellery, books, bric a brac, jigsaws and more. Craven Cats Protection league and Manorlands will also have stalls raising funds for their respective charities. Refreshments available until 3.p.m.

Once we get into next month there will be two Flea Markets per month, one organised by Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee ( 13th March )  and one by Sheila. ( 27th March ).

Film and Panto News

On Friday 18th February Gargrave and Malhamdale Community Library will be showing the film Official Secrets, The film is based on true events and stars Keira Knightley, Matt Smith, Ralph Fiennes and Matthew Goode. The customary Cafe style seating will be in place, so please bring along your own refreshments. The Village Hall doors open at 7.p.m with the film commencing at 7.30.p.m. Tickets are £5.00 on the door.

Oz the Panto will be taking place at the Village Hall on Thursday 24th February – Saturday 26th February. There are four performances in total, Thursday 24th and Friday 25th at 7.15.p.m and on Saturday at 1.p.m and 5.p.m. Tickets are on sale from both the Dalesman Cafe and from Gargrave Library. £8.00 adults and £5.00 concessions if purchased in advance or £9.00 and £6.00 on the door subject to availability.

Come along on Sunday 27th February for the Flea Market and Craft Fair which is run by Sheila from Broadways Fairs. The Village Hall Management run Vintage, Craft and Flea Markets will be back on March 13th ( the organisers enjoy a break after Christmas ).
