A Picnic supper dance will be taking place on Friday evening ( 10th August ) from 7.30.p.m until 11.p.m. Music for ballroom and sequence dance will be provided by popular Cumbrian musician Denis Westmorland. Admission is 5.00. Please bring along your own picnic supper.

A Coffee morning will be held on Saturday from 10.a.m. Please drop in for toasted teacakes and homemade cakes. A book stall and fun raffle will also aid Village Hall funds.

The Fuchsia and Geranium group will be holding their annual Show at the Village Hall on Sunday ( 12th August ). Doors open to view the prize winning exhibits at Noon. Light refreshments available.

The Pantomime group are getting organised for their annual production in 2019 ( February half term ). Sign up night for the production of Sleeping Beauty will be held on Thursday 13th September at 6.30.p.m in the Village Hall. This is for everybody and anybody who wants to be involved, whether on stage or out of the limelight. There will be no Coffee mornings at the Village Hall on Saturday 21st and 28th July due to private bookings. We extend congratulations and best wishes to both of the celebratory functions!

A Flea Market, Crafts and All sorts Fair takes place on Sunday 29th July. 10.a.m – 3.30.p.m.

The annual Jumble sale will be taking place on Saturday 4th August, donations of goods may be left at the Hall, any Monday morning leading up to the event or alternately anytime on Thursday 2nd August or Friday 3rd August. More importantly do come along on Saturday 4th August to purchase all the bargains, there are hundreds of them. In particular there are large amounts of good quality curtains, cushions and bedding. Only 20p admission. Light refreshments and Tombola.

The annual Art Show commences on Thursday ( 12th July ) and will run through until Sunday ( 15th July ). There is a fantastic display of paintings by local artists from both the Craven area and beyond.

Last years winning artist with best in show was Lesley Woodhouse and she has her own individual display of mixed media work in the Committee room alongside works from members of the Monday Art group.

Children from Gargrave pre school and Junior school are also proudly exhibiting their Art work.

There is no admission charge to the show and light refreshments are available courtesy of Gargrave WI.

The team at Ambitions Gymnastics are looking forward to meeting new members on Wednesdays and Fridays at their classes at Gargrave Village Hall. The first class begins on Wednesday 13th June and the programme will be delivering lots of fun, bright colourful equipment, enthusiastic and experienced Gymnastics coaches and structured programmes with progression and certification. Thousands of Antiquarian and second hand books will be for sale on Saturday 2nd June when a Book Fair will be held in the Village Hall. Opening hours 10.a.m – 4.p.m. 60p admission.

The North West Fuchsia Societies will be holding their Fuchsia Fayre at the Village Hall on Saturday and Sunday ( April 21st and 22nd ) from 10.30.a.m to 4.p.m.

Experts will be demonstrating how to grow standards, baskets, bonsais, triphyllas and hybridising.

General growing advice will be available, especially on how to take cuttings. There will also be a general plant sale, tombola and refreshments.

All this and free admission too!
