Exciting New class for Children….

The team at Ambitions Gymnastics are looking forward to meeting new members on Wednesdays and Fridays at their classes at Gargrave Village Hall. The first class begins on Wednesday 13th June and the programme will be delivering lots of fun, bright colourful equipment, enthusiastic and experienced Gymnastics coaches and structured programmes with progression and certification. Pre school children can attend on Wednesday and/or Friday mornings and children, five years plus on Wednesday evenings. Weekend ahead , commencing on Friday 8th June with a  Picnic Supper dance with live music for ballroom and sequence dance provided by talented Organist, Elizabeth Harrison. Please bring along your own Picnic supper. 7.30.p.m to 11.p.m. Five pounds admission on the door.

Saturday Coffee morning – Hot buttered teacakes, bacon sandwiches and homemade cakes from 9.a.m. to Noon. Fun raffle and book stall.

Sunday – Flea Market, Vintage, Collectables and Crafts. The hall will be full of stalls selling a large range of unusual and affordable goods. Outdoor plant stall. Light refreshments. Only 50p admission.

 

Weekend ahead……

Thousands of Antiquarian and second hand books will be for sale on Saturday 2nd June when a Book Fair will be held in the Village Hall. Opening hours 10.a.m – 4.p.m. 60p admission.

We have some fantastic suppliers of wedding finery and fayre already booked in to appear at our first ever event of this kind. Picnic supper dance on Friday evening with live music for ballroom and sequence dancing from Cumbrian Musician Denis Westmoreland. Commences 7.30.p.m until 11.p.m. £5.00 admission on the door. Please bring along your own picnic supper.

Come along to the Village Hall on Saturday  and enjoy a Bacon Buttie, hot buttered teacakes and a great variety of homemade cakes. Available 9.a.m until Noon. A fun raffle and book stall will also aid Village Hall funds.

Antiques, Collectables, Vintage and Craft items will all be for sale at very affordable prices on Sunday when Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee hold one of their monthly Flea Market and Collectable Fairs. Admission only 50p. Light refreshments available from 10.a.m until 3.p.m. Outdoor plant stall.

Weekend events……..

Who can resist the smell of bacon cooking?????? Come along to the Village Hall on Saturday mornings April 28th, May 5th, 12th and 26th and enjoy a bacon buttie. Hot buttered teacakes and homemade cakes are also on the menu. A Book stall and fun raffle will also aid Village Hall funds.

Broadway Fairs will be holding a Collectable and Craft Market on Sunday 29th April from 10.a.m until 3.30.p.m. Lots of stalls selling affordable and varied items. Only 50p admission charge. Light refreshments available until 3.p.m.

Weekend of Flowers

The North West Fuchsia Societies will be holding their Fuchsia Fayre at the Village Hall on Saturday and Sunday ( April 21st and 22nd ) from 10.30.a.m to 4.p.m.

Experts will be demonstrating how to grow standards, baskets, bonsais, triphyllas and hybridising.

General growing advice will be available, especially on how to take cuttings. There will also be a general plant sale, tombola and refreshments.

All this and free admission too!

 

A weekend of Fairs coming up….

Hopefully Spring will have arrived for the forthcoming weekend ( March 10th/11th ) as both Saturday and Sunday will see plenty of activity at the Village Hall.

A Book Fair will be held on Saturday from 10.a.m  until  4.p.m. There will be thousands of Antiquarian and secondhand books for sale covering every subject. Light refreshments will be served until 3.p.m. 60p admission.

A Collectables, Vintage, Flea Market and Craft Fair will be held on Sunday from 10.a.m until 4.p.m. This is the first Fair of the New Year which is run by Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee, the organisers have enjoyed a Winter break but now return for their regular monthly events which are generally held in the middle of each month ( Broadway Fairs are held on the last Sunday of each month ). There will be regular stallholders in attendance as well as now ones who will be selling a great variety of interesting and affordable items. Not too late for a Mothers day gift!!!

Weekend News…. Events will go ahead despite the weather!

The Jay Walkers drama company will be returning to the Village Hall on Friday evening ( 2nd March ) to present The Visitors by Barney Norris.  The play is charming, heart warming and moving and will make you both laugh and cry as it addresses the current themes of ageing and  family support – don`t worry there is also humour, happy memories and a tender look at a long and happy marriage. The Play commences at 7.30.p.m and tickets are available on the door priced at £8.00. www.thejaywalkers.co.uk

A Village Spring Fayre will be held on Saturday commencing at 10.a.m until Noon. There will be various stalls selling Cakes and Produce, Toys, Crafts, and Jewellery. A Chocolate Tombola and Raffle will also aid funds. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the Isaiah Trust which helps to bring hope and support to the orphaned street children of Kisumu in Kenya. £2 entry will include Coffee and Buns.
