The Hall and side rooms will be full of stalls on Easter Sunday selling Antiques, Collectables, Vintage,Bric a Brac, Books, Gifts, Jewellery, Small furniture, Pictures, Wax melts, Jigsaws, Plants and Crafts. There will be stalls raising funds for Manorlands Hospice, The  Cats Protection League ( including a tombola) and the Village Hall itself, Literally something for everyone with both unique and affordable items to purchase. Food is served all day. 50p admission. Open 9.30.a.m until 3.30.p.m. Please  call earlier if it fits in better with your days plans as most stalls are set up by 9.a.m. The majority of stalls can only accept cash please and this includes sales of food. Card payments are available for the admission fee and for sales from the Village Hall stall. There is a cash machine on the high street in Gargrave for anyone new to the area. Enquiries 07989 585564. The weekend kicks off with the fortnightly Man Friday ( March 27th ) which is held in the Match room on Friday morning from 10.a.m until Noon. An opportunity for the Gents to catch up with a social chat. Dominoes, cards and scrabble are available if wished. Unlimited hot drinks, biscuits and cake for just £3.00.

Gargrave Cinema club will be showing Downton Abbey, The Grande finale on Friday evening at 7.30.p.m. Village Hall doors open at 7.p.m. Admission is £5.00 cash on the door, with accompanied under sixteens free. Cafe style seating is in place so please bring along your own refreshments.

Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee jointly with Gargrave Library Committee will be holding a Coffee morning on Saturday from 10.a.m until Noon. Bacon sandwiches, toasted teacakes and homemade cakes will be on the menu. A raffle will aid Library funds and a Book and Bric a Brac stall will raise funds for the Village Hall.

Man Friday will be held ( Yes you`ve guessed on Friday morning) on the 13th March. A great opportunity to meet up with friends old and new. Have a good social chat over unlimited hot drinks, biscuits and a slice of cake. Cards, dominoes and scrabble available if wished. Head for the match room, access via the back door to the right of the hall as you look to the front and then on entry an immediate right turn. £3.00 admission.

A Picnic supper dance will be held on Friday evening in the main Hall with live music for modern sequence dancing provided by Lancashire musician Alan Cookson. Please bring along your own Picnic supper, tea and coffee will be provided in the interval. Admission is £6.00 per person ( cash only please at this event). The music commences at 7.30.p.m until 11.p.m.

Many thanks for all the positive comments about the Book Fair and Collectable and Craft Fair which were held last weekend on the Saturday and Sunday. So pleased that everyone enjoyed the events. Really nice to see both returning customers and new ones too.

Spare a thought for Robert our Caretaker this weekend he certainly has his work cut out ( also Steve our Assistant Caretaker who takes care of the late night closing ).

The busy weekend begins on Friday evening the 6th March with the Annual supper dance which is organised by Gargrave Show Committee and is in aid of their funds. Denis Westmorland will be playing the live music for modern sequence dancing . We are delighted to welcome two authors to our first Book Fair of the year on Saturday. Mary Brown will be selling copies of her book, Mrs. Brown and friends- the morning rush. This is a delightful story filled with whimsical characters and enchanting adventures which will captivate young readers.

Ben Kilgallon is a medieval fantasy novelist and his books are set in the world of Fulminia. The making of a Hero is a coming of age story and A Kingdom in Peril is a direct sequel.

There will also be a huge selection of books to purchase from the book sellers who come from all over the North of England and who bring with them a wealth of knowledge. The selection ranges from general paperbacks and hardbacks which cover every genre through to antiquarian and collectable volumes. The event opens at 10.a.m and closes at 4.p.m. 50p Admission.
