A fantastic jumble…

Many thanks to everyone who supported the annual Jumble sale which was held on Saturday 3rd October. Special thanks for the amazing donations of items, to all the volunteers who manned the stalls, the brilliant kitchen team and all the buyers who purchased the bargains. £3060.00 was raised for Village Hall funds.

Indoor bowling returns to the Village Hall on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from this week for the Winter season. 2p.m. – 4.p.m.

Man Friday is back for its fortnightly spot from 10.a.m to Noon ( Yes you`ve guessed its on Friday ) in the match room. Unlimited hot drinks and homemade cakes for £3.00. Cards, chess, dominoes and scrabble available if wished. A chance for the menfolk to gather for a social chat. The library will also be opening on a Friday morning from 10.30.a.m until 11.30.a.m so it gives those present the opportunity to join the library for the borrowing of books and the chance to use the ancestry and find my family websites. The library is situated in the Foyer of the Village Hall.

A Picnic supper dance will be held on Friday evening from 7.30.p.m until 11.p.m. Lancashire keyboard player Alan Cookson will be providing the live music for modern sequence dancing. Please bring your own Picnic supper. Tea and Coffee will be provided in the interval. Admission is £6.00 per person, cash only please. A raffle will aid Village Hall funds.
