The weekend begins with a meet up for the menfolk on Friday in the Village Hall match room from 10.a.m until Noon. A chance to enjoy a social chat over unlimited hot drinks and homemade scones ( courtesy of David). Admission is £3.00. Cards, dominoes and scrabble are available but generally there is too much talk going on for these!!
A musical treat beckons on Saturday. Members of Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee together with members of Gargrave Library Committee will be holding a Coffee morning from 10.a.m until Noon. They will be delighted to welcome Danny and Claire, junior members of the Craven Accordion Orchestra who will be playing some duets, there will also be some guest soloists. Admission to the event is free and there will be bacon sandwiches, toasted teacakes and homemade cakes for sale. A raffle will aid Library funds and proceeds from a book and bric a brac stall will go towards Hall funds. The event also incorporates the Summer reading challenge for the children. The Library volunteers will be there to provide more details and children already signed up will be able to receive their free cupcake. Everyone most welcome. Card and cash payments accepted.
