The fortnightly meet up for the menfolk to have a social chat will take place on Friday morning from 10.a.m until Noon in the match room ( access via the back door-kitchen-then turn immediate right on entry). £3.00 for unlimited hot drinks and homemade cake.

A Book Fair will be held on Saturday from 10.a.m until 4.p.m. There will be hundreds of books for sale on every subject and range from general paperbacks and hardbacks through to rare and antiquarian volumes. The book sellers hail from all over the North West and bring with then a wealth of knowledge. Food is served all day. Admission is by a suggested donation of 50p ( in aid of Hall funds ).

Please come along to our free advice and information morning on Thursday June 11th from 10.a.m until 1.p.m. The morning is a collaboration between Gargrave Village Hall Committee, Gargrave Library and NYCC. In attendance will be representatives from Gargrave Parish Council, Dementia Forward, Keighley Dementia Advice, Carers Resource, Living Well, Culture North Yorkshire, Active North Yorkshire, Waste Management, Community Police, Speech and Language Therapist and Social Prescriber. Come along and have a chat, if any conversation is preferred in privacy there will be seperate rooms available.

A slipper social is also being held, over sixties can come along for a pair of free non slip slippers which will combat accidents in the home. North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue team will be in attendance to discuss home safety and arrangements can be made for a home review and the fitting of a free smoke alarm. The Cyberline van will be at the Hall at the slightly later time of 11.a.m and they can advise on how to stay safe online. Lots to see and talk about, a great opportunity for face to face chats.

Complete the morning with coffee, cake,bacon sandwiches and toasted teacakes, all on sale throughout the event and served by members of Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee and Gargrave Library Committee.
