The weekend commences with a meet up for the menfolk. The fortnightly Man Friday ( 8th May ) will be held from 10.a.m until Noon in the Village Hall match room.A great opportunity for a social chat with unlimited hot drinks, homemade cake and biscuits, £3.00 admission. Cards, dominoes, scrabble and chess available if wished. Access to the match room is via the back door, just to the right of the main hall and immediate turn right on entry.
Lancashire Organist Elizabeth Harrison will be providing the live music for modern sequence dancing on Friday evening from 7.30.p.m until 11.p.m. Elizabeth is not only familiar with the stage at Gargrave but also the stage at Blackpool tower ballroom. Please bring along your own picnic supper, tea and coffee will be provided in the interval. Admission is £6.00 per person on the door, cash only please. A raffle will raise funds for the Village Hall.
A Coffee morning will be held on Saturday morning organised jointly between Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee and Gargrave Library committee. On the menu will be bacon sandwiches,toasted teacakes and lots of homemade cakes. A book and bric a brac stall will raise funds for the Village Hall and a raffle will aid Library funds.
