The Jubilee celebrations begin at the Village Hall on Friday 3rd June with a right Royal Coffee morning. There will be lots of homemade cakes on the menu and prizes to be won in the raffle, all related to something royal. There will be a stall selling royal memorabilia and books from the past seventy years, plus a sale of new wedding hats, perfect for any royal occasion and all proceeds from these two stalls will go to Manorlands. There will be some favourite tunes playing in the background, which could involve a special surprise. Indeed we can announce what that is now – Tim the Sax player will be playing so please come along and enjoy the music.
A Book Fair will be held on Saturday 4th June. There will be thousands of books for sale, ranging from general paperbacks to rare and antiquarian editions. Admission is 50p or by donation. Light refreshments available until 3.p.m.
The tickets for the Afternoon tea with live music on Sunday 5th June are now all sold out. The event features popular local vocalist Andy Wiseman who will be singing a range of songs from the past seventy years. We are sorry but there cannot be any admission without first reserving a ticket.
