There are no public events at the Hall this weekend 5th – 7th September.
The next Coffee morning will be held on Saturday 13th September. Bacon sandwiches, toasted teacakes and homemade cakes will be on the menu. The event is organised jointly between Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee and Gargrave Library Committee. A Book and Bric a Brac stall will raise funds for the Hall and proceeds from the raffle will go towards Library funds ( their first film show of the year will be on Friday 19th September).
Don`t forget the annual Jumble sale which is fast approaching – Saturday 4th October – 10.a.m until 1.p.m. Please call 07989 585564 if you are able to help with selling on the day. Donations of Jumble may be left on any Monday or Tuesday morning , access via the back door and left in the area outside the kitchen. Please label boxes and bags clearly as Jumble. Donations for the Tombola stall also gratefully accepted.
We hope to be starting a new venture in October for menfolk. Perhaps they are fed up of household chores(!) or going on the dreaded shopping trip and are ready for a social chat with other gentlemen. Man Friday will be starting on October 10th and fortnightly there after. The social mornings will be from 10.a.m until Noon and will be held in the match room ( entrance via the kitchen door and first room as you turn sharp right) which is a warm welcoming space as the weather begins to turn a little colder. There will be cards and dominoes if anyone fancies a game . Unlimited Tea, Coffee and biscuits will be included in the £3 charge. Please spread the word. Everyone welcome.
