On the 20th January the Cinema club welcome in the New Year by showing the widely acclaimed comedy Phantom of the Open. The film tells the true story of Maurice Flitcroft, a crane operator and dreamer from Barrow in Furness who despite never having played a game of golf, managed to bluff his way into the 1976 British Open. The film stars Mark Rylance and Sally Hawkins. Cafe style seating will be in place so please bring along your own refreshments. The village Hall doors open at 7.p.m with the film starting at 7.30.p.m. Tickets are £5 on the door with accompanied under 16`s free.
