Quite a busy weekend ahead commencing with a film on Friday evening in the Village Hall. The Taste of things is an elegant Gastro film set in 1900`s France, a real feast for the senses. Juliette Binoche and Benoit Magimel share a delicate chemistry in the French culinary romance. The customary Cafe style seating will be in place, so please bring your own refreshments. Gargrave Village Hall doors open at 7.p.m with the film commencing at 7.30.p.m. Tickets are £5.00 cash on the door with accompanied under sixteens free. Sorry but only guide dogs are allowed to this event. All proceeds from the film nights go towards the running costs of the Community Library.

A great event for all book lovers will be taking place on Saturday in the Village Hall. The first Book Fair of the year will be held commencing at 10.a.m until 4.p.m. The Hall ,side rooms and stage are all fully booked with stallholders from all over the North West selling a great selection of books. The hundreds of books range from general paperback and hardback titles through to rare and collectable volumes. There will also be light refreshments available all day until 3.p.m. Admission is 50p. Dont forget next weeks Collectable and Craft Fair on Sunday March 9th and then on Saturday March 15th the Open day at the Hall combined with a mammoth Bibliophile sale, hundreds and hundreds of books held in storage for years now been sold at knock down prices, 50p each, fill a carrier bag for £2.00 or a box for £5.00. An event not to be missed.
