Please come along to the Coffee morning on Saturday  ( 28th June ) which is organised jointly between Gargrave Village Hall Management Committee and Gargrave Library. There will be bacon sandwiches, toasted teacakes and homemade cakes on the menu available from 10.a.m until Noon. We are delighted to also offer the opportunity to purchase some fabulous artwork from the late Robert Kirkbright ( sorry Bob I incorrectly changed your name on our posters to Kirkbride)! Bob lived in the Village from 1910 until his death in 1998. He was a talented amateur artist who had his watercolours exhibited at various exhibitions after the second world war. His work mainly centred in and around the Village, there are a small number of original works and some smaller prints. His work was passed down to his niece who sadly died earlier in the year in Milton Keynes and her family very kindly donated Bob`s artwork to be sold to raise funds for the Village Hall . Bob lived all his life in the same house on South street and some work depicts that area of the Village, together with river scenes, Church Street,The Dam side, Chew Lane, Eshton beck and more. The medieval market in Skipton also features on one of the original paintings.Perhaps you may recognise yourself as a child in some of the pictures? The work is sensibly priced and the prints in particular would make ideal Christmas gifts, they are unframed so can be framed to your own choice. Please come along and have a look at the work whilst enjoying a bacon sandwich!

Hopefully time allowing there will also be the usual Book stall and Bric a Brac stall raising funds for the Hall and a raffle raising funds for the Library. The library draw will probably be taking place too.  Enquiries 07989 585564.
